There will be a Special Town Board Meeting on June 5, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.  The purpose of this meeting will be for the Town Board to hear the charges against the owner of 4056 Ridge Rd in the Town of Williamson. This property is also known as The Brockhuizen.

The property owner is charged with 3 counts of operating a property alleged to be a public nuisance. Two of these charges allege violations within the six month period of September 22, 2024 to March 21, 2025, and the third charge alleges a violation occurring within a 12 month period from March 22, 2024 to March 21, 2025.

In accordance with Williamson’s Town Code, the Town Board will serve as the “Finder of Fact”.  The Town’s Attorney will present the charges to the board and the defendant may defend against those charges.

The Town Board will allow public testimony regarding this. Those wishing to speak must sign in, be sworn, and may make a statement not to exceed 3 minutes. They may also be questioned by the Town’s attorney and the property owner. Testimony will be limited to direct knowledge as to whether the property in question has or has not been a public nuisance to the community.

The Town Board will not render a decision until the next regularly scheduled board meeting on June 10th. If found to be in violation, the maximum penalty that could be imposed would be a 1-year revocation of the property’s Certificate of Occupancy.
