NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION BY THE WILLIAMSON TOWN BOARD SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 13, 2025 the Town Board of the Town of Williamson, County of Wayne, State of New York, at a regular meeting thereof, adopted the following resolution subject to Permissive Referendum:
RESOLUTION TO ABANDON PEARSALL STREET AND PEARSALL STREET EXTENSION
Councilmember Orbaker, seconded by Councilmember Gowan presented the following Resolution.
WHEREAS: the Town of Williamson currently owns what is known as Pearsall Street and Pearsall Street Extension, and
WHEREAS: the Town has not utilized those properties as a Town street since 1982, and the Town Superintendent of Highways has recommended abandoning said streets so the town is no longer responsible for the maintenance of said lands, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Town Board of the Town of Williamson has determined to relinquish the lands as described in the Warranty Deed, to the current owners of the property at the corner of Route 21 and Route 104 for a sum of $1.00, with other good and valuable consideration and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: this resolution shall be subject to a permissive referendum as permitted by law.
Ayes: 5 Nayes: 0 The Resolution was declared adopted.
