RG&E has advised of upcoming construction to upgrade their distribution system in the Williamson, Ontario & Marion areas. It will begin in July 2025 and last approximately 4-5 months. Their work is part of RG&E’s Transmission Line Deficiency (TLD) Mitigation Program, which addresses aging or damaged infrastructure such as poles, insulators, support structures, and related components. To ensure reliable service, surrounding vegetation may also be cleared where necessary.
Construction is weather-dependent and will primarily occur during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. While road closures are not anticipated, temporary single-lane closures and traffic flagging may occur. Additionally, brief, coordinated power outages will take place during the project, with on-site representatives notifying affected customers in advance.
