Please observe that there is NO PARKING ON ALL ROADS in Williamson from November 1 – April 1.

Rotten mailbox posts and/or old, worn out mailboxes will not be replaced due to snow hitting them.  If a mailbox is hit by a town plow truck, it will be inspected to determine if it will be replaced by the town.

With winter comes bad weather.  Keep in mind that poor weather requires longer commute times.  Plan on leaving for your destination earlier and take necessary precautions such as cleaning off your vehicle, watching your speed, and keeping a safe distance between yourself and other vehicles.  Your safety is our concern.  Please pay attention to changing road conditions.

A fleet of five dump trucks with plows and salt/sanding equipment work throughout the winter to keep Williamson’s roads clear.  A plow run takes approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete from start to finish.  During times of heavy snow roads may become covered faster than the plows can clear them.  Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Other work being done:  roadside ditching (weather dependent)  and tree removal as needed.

Enjoy the upcoming holidays and have a safe winter!
