Water Plant Fluoride Room Addition

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Water Plant Fluoride Room Addition  will be received by Town of Williamson, at the office of the Town of Williamson, 6380 Route 21, Suite II, Williamson, New York 14589, until 2:00 PM local time on June 18, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Work is generally described as an addition to the existing water treatment plant to house a fluoride feed system.  Also included are building ventilation; lighting;, and electrical and control interconnections between the chemical feed system and an existing plant wide SCADA system.  The Work shall be coordinated and scheduled to keep the water treatment plant in operation throughout the project without disrupting the adequacy and quality of the public water supply.

Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders  shall submit  with  its  bid  a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon  amount  to  be paid  to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating,  ventilating  and  air  conditioning  apparatus  and  (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures.

Drawings can be picked up at any of Avalon Document Services’ locations.

  1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an Electric Download of the Bidding Documents.
  2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
  3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Town of Williamson nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

The Town of Williamson, Wayne County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder.  It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.

Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on June 12, 2019 at 9:00 AM local time at 7901 Hamilton St. Ext., Pultneyville New York.  Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
