NY-Alert also works closely with local law enforcement and other agencies to deliver a broad range of emergency messages — from “Amber Alerts” involving missing children to “Missing Adult Alerts” for senior citizens.  In addition, it provides important updates on school closings and serious accidents, as well as information about sex offenders in your community.
