On Saturday, August
14th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be an Electronics
Recycling Collection Day for residential and
small business
collection only at the Williamson Town Complex parking
lot. There are charges of $5 for each monitor and a $10 for each television set
and/or microwave that is dropped off. All other items will be accepted at no
charge.
The following electronic items will
be accepted:
COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT
- Monitors,
computers, terminals, printers, network equipment, keyboards, mice, modems,
routers, hubs, computer accessories
MISCELLANEOUS
ELECTRONICS
- Circuit
boards, cable and wiring, typewriters, fax machines, telecommunications
equipment, audio/visual equipment, video game systems, cell phones, PDA’s,
IPODS, universal power supplies, scanners
- Televisions,
toner/inkjet cartridges, batteries
- Microwave
ovens
The following
items WILL NOT be accepted:
- Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, any
liquids, light bulbs (especially fluorescent bulbs), kitchen/personal
appliances, small gas powered equipment, vacuum cleaners, fans, any and all
household hazardous waste materials
